Shalom people!!!!! Just came back from church camp 2 days ago..........Wah so fun!!!!!(debbie, you can shut it on saying how YOUR church camp is better than mine...its just lame...)
Heres a history of what i did.
ok day 1, woke up at 8.30 and made some last minute preparations for the camp.(which were evidently, not enough, since i like forgot to bring my insect repellant.....)Kissed my beloved parents AND computer goodbye and took a cab with my bro to SJSM church to link-up with my group.(Dan was assigned to another group, so he will only come up at certain parts here.)
Intro to church camp REVAMPED 2006, Faithfulness group members
Hewlett-(group leader, and a GOOD one at that)-(super anti-taiti)

yan quan-(group member)-(combat medic)
linus-(group member)-(taiti pro)
matthew-(group member)-(pro for a person who just started playing taiti)

rachel-(group member)-(only girl in the group for 3 days)-(taiti pro)
Amaria-(group member)-(came on the 3rd day, much to the happiness of rachel)
john-(group member)-(dude with the nice phone)

Had a few ice-breakers and got to know each other better...
After that left the church and went to the campsite(passing cemeteries and an army camp next to them,Mindef always build army camps next to wierd places)
Got to the campsite and went to the dorms(i become dorm ic,good choice camp com!!!!)
Ate lunch(the meals in this camp were like super good lor, even better than some of the food i ate in other school camps).
Then had some telegames thing.quite fun la....(June, if you ever read this, make the people who haven pay thier camp fees to go and drink the watermelon juice that we had to squeeze out...HAHA) XD.....also owned another group who tallest player was like 168cm tall.....(yan quan was close to 180cm), raced across the field on my back with a spoon in my mouth with agar-agar in it.(the agar-agar no taste,:( )(yan quan burst a ballon on rachel, she did not seem too happy about?)
After that had a bathe(the showers were literally water cannons, SOO powerful) and had dinner. Then went for service, and the sermon topic was on godly manhood(learned many things i like did not know before) by this youth pastor called GARY, funny guy.After which i went back to the bunk with a bunch of boys from other groups and played taiti till about lights out(even after that still continued playing, we're the bad boyz yo!!!!)
Day 2...
Woke up at 6.30(stupid scouts started shouting"wheres the flag" over and over, so cannot sleep) and went to wash up, then had breakfast with the group, had devotions and read the word.Had service, and learned the topic on sexual temptations.(for the sake of any younger reader that stumbles upon my blog by mistake i shall not mention any of the stuff learnt in the camp, but REVAMPED camp people who read this should know what i mean.)
Yeah, had our own private discussions about this topic and explained each other's struggles in this area.After that came one of the most fun parts of the camp, the amazing race(wow how amazing!!!!)We had to go and find several clues and do some ill-fated tasks....jumping in the mud pool,(rachel could not jump cos of some issue), i think they like put SHIT in the water coz it felt like SHIT and it smelt like SHIT.After that had to do dome telegames thing and had to roll on a concoction of Soya sauce, tomato sauce, egg and detergent.i SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY smelt like crap after that..........(rachel was like ew ew ew all the way )(they tossed SK in the Mud pool too, he tried to pull hewlett in but he managed to escape......)
Took a shower and went for the evening session.(This time the speaker was Gary's wife.)
SHE asked who was the youngest and what he had learnt in this camp and the guy said playing taiti with me.i never felt so what in my life la!!!!!The topic was on godly womanhood.After which i went back to the dorm where sheng wei was doing marching and some girls asked me to shut him up. So i like said"Sheng wei, shut up la!!" then he said something about me being the best ladykiller when i grow up.(good prophesy dude!!!!).....xD....played taiti with some new friends, kenneth(delci's cousin from malaysia) and ben toh, along with hewlett's bro hewbert, till bout 1 plus....
day 3
(i'm xian of saying the same old thing all over again so i'm just gonna skip all the breakfast and washing up and all that).After breakfast went and had service, thought us about dating(tips and tricks from the grand master,basically thanks pastor joshua, you the man....:).After which we had to go practise our skit(an LOTR skit)about arwen and aragorn, played by Rachel and me respectively.....john son planned all the nice scenes.......haha had a good time practicing.
took a bath and went out to see Rachel dressed like going to prom liddat(Seriously i never saw her so well dressed before)i rubbed my eyes and she said whatever......)Any ways so we went out to do our skits in the service.our skit was at the 7th position.(Rachel was like:I'm so nervous, I'm so nervous, i'll laugh when people laugh).
Finally our skit came and we went down to act.The first scene was a walking scene, when we walked past each other, we purposely walked very slowly to create the time-slow when soul-mates meet.(we did a mock kissing scene as well.)
ya the best part was when she talked to her father, elrond(played by hewlett)..he said "why won't you leave him"and she said"because i love him" the whole audience went WHOO!!!!!!! and i felt a bit high after that(i wonder why ah?) anyways amaria acted as gandalf..the last line was the funniest(wait, apah say cannot hold hands until 180 years)HAHA....
After that we had the best worship session in the 4 days(seriously it was very good, i was practically jumping all about).we rounded off the sessions with a talk on god's interpretation on holy and unholy minds. After the session, i went to sit at dans table and since there were like so many LOTR fans there they said i looked cool and all that, they also called me elesar(another name for aragorn).i was on cloud nine after that.haha
AFter which i went back to the bunk to play taiti with the guys till about two.
DAY 4
Still playing taiti when they made us go to the parade grounds to do the night games, haha was quite fun.sang the singapore anthem twice(lame la, sing at 2, no life ar) all of us were shagged.went back to sleep, woke up later at 8.00 and packed up, recieved some awards, our group was 3rd.(rachel got the best actress award,haha).after that we went to exchange contacts, packed up and left,
so in short, this camp was fun, but it would not be so without you guys.FAITHFULNESS RULES!!!!
